    Also called "almandine" and is found worldwide.

  • Appearance

    Darker red than it's cousin, the pyrope garnet. It's also found nearly black to pink-red, and some will show a distinct four-rayed star when cut en cabochon.

    Almandite garnet is not enhanced.
