Worldwide. Chalcedony, a micro-crystalline member of the quartz family consists of a number of stones, namely agate, dendritic agate, fire agate, heliotrope (bloodstone), plasma, chrysoprase, prase, fossilized (petrified) wood, jasper, cornelian (carnelian), moss agate, onyx, sardonyx, and sard.
