    Found wherever copper deposits occur, namely Chile, United States (New Mexico, Arizona), Zaire, Zimbabwe, Nambia, former Soviet Union, Australia, France and England.

  • Appearance

    Deep blue-black to brilliant blue azurite, combined with bright to dark green malachite.

  • Enhancements

    Like malachite, azurite-malachite is occasionally coated with colorless wax, or rarely impregnated with plastic and/or other hardened agents to improve durabilty and appearance.
